Ahl al-Bayt: ‘the people of the house’, meaning the Prophet Muhammad and members of his household including especially his cousin and son–in–law ‘Ali b. Abi Talib, his daughter Fatima and his grandsons al–Hasan and al–Husayn as well as their progeny.
This artwork is inspired by the Ahl al-Bayt. The names of Hazrat Muhammad, Hazrat Ali, Hazrat Fatima, Hazrat Hasan and Hazrat Husayn are written in Arabic and represented as the five fingers of an open right hand. The palm of the hand is 'Allah' written in Arabic.
